Statement on the event

Hey,
as promised I will comment on the third community event.

First off, I'm happy that some people had fun. I'm sorry for the ones who didn't, we will try to compensate for your misfortune. I really appreciate your ideas how to improve the next community event and I will definitely try to use them. But I'd like to take a minute to write about the condtions of organizing this event:
  1. We had very little time to get everything up and running considering this was quite a big event. This is why we couldn't get anyone for hosting servers or anything.
  2. We're all busy persons and therefore we don't have much time to coordinate everything together.
  3. I payed for the servers myself and i couldn't afford buying servers for every game - that's simply way too expensive. We're thinking of getting a server to host everything soon, so this might not be a problem in the future.
  4. We chose this amount of people because we wanted to give the chance to as many people as possible. Even though we only were about 25 people in the end, it was quite a mess comparing to earlier community events when Pewdie's fanbase was smaller. If you want to talk with such a big mass of people, you simply should try to speak up until you get recognized (but pay attention to not overdo this). We will try to develop a system so that everyone is able to talk to Pewdie.
  5. Earlier community events worked better because we could do them secretly. By livestreaming, we couldn't hide the IP he was joining and a lot of other people would try to join. This could be fixed by hosting servers with a password.
We will try to make the next community event better, I promise.
And to all who couldn't join: I'm sorry for you, but please don't start raging and crying about it, there will be more events. Everyone had a fair chance.

I loved the event and am so glad I got the opportunity to talk to PewDie, even though I didn't get to play the $20 game I bought just for the event with him. It was an awesome experience :)
