Short roundup

Rating:

by mKeRix, Saturday, June 16th 2012, 4:22pm

I don't have a lot of time, but I felt like this is needed, so i decided to summarize the last days real quick.

1. Project Pew problems

We currently have some problems with our Project Pew server network, resulting in downtimes of servers. At the moment all servers except the Minecraft one are running normally. We have the Minecraft server running in "emergency mode", that means that some plugins are disabled and it's running on low RAM, which makes it slightly instable. We are working with our hoster to resolve these issues.

2. Forum downtime

A few days ago the forum was down and showed some error message for a few hours. Our databases were slightly damaged, which caused the downtime. The damage was created internally, so your data is still safe. I could fix it rather quick, but I wasn't in the "office" when it happened, so it took a bit longer.

3. Team changes

After some accidental swaps in terms of user rights, poroner showed up as unmodded. That led him to show his true colors of what he thought of me and the team and we decided that it wouldn't be a good idea to keep him. I won't quote our internal discussions to save his/our privacy.
We will release more details on the team's future to the public when it's time.

Trust me, I have a bad experience when saying something in the heat of the moment. But it doesn't grant you immunity. I've spoken to both poroner and mkerix and there are 2 sides to a story. There is no point arguing anymore. Have a nice day c:

Flamez3, with all respect , if you think that a bad day can't cause this then you have never seen someone exploding in rage due to frustration because having a bad day/week/month , even the slightest feelings can grow to the biggest problems due to that. And I actually know what he all said since I was in a skype conversation the whole time and he was being pissed as hell on himself for doing that , since he should have thought before he would say something rather then let him control himself due to rage and impulsively screw everyone over. He was sorry as hell and already knew it was over after then. He kept saying to me that he shouldn't have said that.Luckily mKeRix chose well for the next moderator since I'm not waiting for a random dude saying hi and flinging his banhammer and drop it everywhere by accident.

Flamex, we have hidden his discussions with mkerix because they are quite vulgar and very offensive. He was accidently umodded, and then showed his true colours of what he thought about mkerix and the team. We have hidden his conversations to give him privacy. Having a bad day isn't grounds for saying the things he did.

Flamex, it clearly says he was unmodded because of accidental swaps of the terms of user rights, not because of his true colors, it LED to him showing his true colors.

    Just saying.

Wow, someone having a bad day and will get unmodded. Poroner is in my opinion the best "current" moderator out here mainly due to the fact he is friendly to everyone and does/did his job properly with a smile , so he was a good addition to the team. It is sad that such have to be demoted about something small which you call "true colors" which aren't the slightest true , since he is just a having a bad day (as stated previously). Sadly , my opinion is not worth that much , nor I can reverse this, but I can say , that the team has lost a valueable member, which will not be replaced by someone with the same quality.I hope you will reconsider of giving him another chance at this, which will unlikely happen.
