Help With Other Consoles

Hey bros!

Well, I just finished up my first video to go on YouTube, and I didn't know how to record the console. I know how to get Fraps on the computer, its that I need help figuring out how to actually record what is playing on the console, I am completely clueless on what to do. Please, and thank you! (BTW, it was Just Dance 3, BEST GAME EVER!!!! I'll post the video link once I'm done editing it and post it).

If it's for PS3, you can use Dazzle: http://www.amazon.com/Dazzle-Video-Creat…ords=dazzle+ps3
But, I recommend getting Roxio. It's more expensive then what it was, but, 1: I think there's an older version. And 2: You can also stream live with Roxio as well. Unfortunately, and trust me, I've tried:
There is pretty much no way to do it for free. But I really recommend Roxio Game Capture. Research into it, try to find it for cheaper on Amazon, Craig's List, etc. Hope this helps. :)

All capture cards are the same in essence. You buy them, install them to your computer and hook it up to your T.V. Nothing to do with the console. The capture card just records what's on the screen. PS2,PS3,WII, XBOX can all be recorded. All you need to know is older generations of consoles won't be using HDMI, so getting a SD capture card would be good for those kinds of things, but for new generations you need to see what your running right now (SD or HD) and then get the appropriate capture card.

Okay, I'm slow here so what you're saying is that I just need a regular SD card? I'm 14, I'm not into all this fancy technology and stuff.

I don't know much either lol. The people at the shop to buy it would probably know though so it's probably best to ask cause it could vary a lot or something lol

What T.V do you have, and what do you use, S.D or HDMI?

You would need a S.D capture card for it to work on your t.v

The guy at Best Buy gave me a regular SanDisk 8GB, told me this would work. I can't figure out how it would record though, tried already.

How to record without capturecard for consoles

ALERT: THIS COMMENT WILL ONLY HELP YOU IF YOU'VE GOT THE "OLD" VERSION OF WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER.

If you don't want to buy anything but only just set up some cables and start recording I suggest you do this:
* first of all you need to change your settings on your ps3 from HD to AV if you are currently playing in HD
* Check if you've got AV slots on your computer/laptop (this will br crusial)
* you need to have 3 st AV splitters

So first of all you connect the splitters to the red and white and yellow AV cables and in to your TV and computer.
Then open Windows movie maker.
Then press "capture from video device"
then a screen pops up:
In the "Audio input source" you want to have, AUX Volume
In the "Video input source" you want to have, Composite

Press next!

Then another screen will pop up.
There you can name your video file.

Press next!

Ok, on this screen you want to click on "Other settings"
and choose "High quality Large"

Press next!

Then a screen showing your PS3 homescreen if you've done everything right.
and right next to that a record button.
Then you can record your gameplay untill your computers memory get stuffed.

If anybody's got any questions please don't hessintate to cantact me via a PM or Skype
