Btw I didn't mention that some levels have been nerfed, and some additional hp potions have been placed on the map as I saw, so now much easier to beat the game.
The Aoi Oni part is a lot more easier, so if you have trouble with that level, then now you shoud try it again.

PS : To Get Past the AO ONI Monster you Must press S to Start the Chair Mode Activated and the AO ONI Cant kill you , wait Untill He passes From you then Press S again and run away fast .

And for answering your question:
GMOD isn't actually a game, it's a mod, you need the Steam / legal version of one of the Source game, but I reccomend to use Half LIfe 2 + Ep. 1 and 2 to be the base game of GMOD. But you can use other Source Engine game too.
